Tuesday Evening Women’s Bible Study

Five Discourses in the Gospel of Matthew

Tuesday Evening Women’s Bible Study- St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Shaker Heights, Ohio

The Women’s Tuesday evening Bible study will resume again on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 7-8:30 pm. We will be studying the Five Discourses in the Gospel of Matthew. The Bible study is led by Merri Bunge, Deaconess Student Intern and meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays each month. Biblical scholars generally agree that the Gospel of Matthew was written as a catechetical tool used to teach new believers in Jesus the basics of the Christian faith. During this study, we will examine the structure and basic outline of the Gospel of Matthew and then look at each of the five discourses. Parallel passages in the Gospels of Mark and Luke will be compared with the Matthew discourses. Please contact Merri Bunge at 219-905-2435 if you have any questions.
